What is it?
A quick laser procedure to clear the cloudy capsule behind the lens implant (PCO), restoring clear vision.
Post-Procedure Instructions
Immediate Care
- Vision: Vision may be blurry for a few hours due to dilating drops.
- Glare: You will be sensitive to light; wear sunglasses.
- Driving: Do not drive until your vision clears and pupil dilation wears off (usually 4-6 hours).
Recovery
- Drops: Usually, anti-inflammatory drops are prescribed for 1 week.
- Floaters: You may see new floaters; these typically settle over a few weeks.
- Activity: You can return to normal activities immediately (work, reading, etc.).
Red Flags
- A dark curtain or shadow in vision (sign of retinal detachment - rare).
- Flashing lights.
